Almost forgot to mention, the best way to heat up the stove when you first light it is to lightly blow air into it. It helps the stove get hot and bloom faster. When you do this, the flame goes from about 1/2" to four " high, and you can set your pot right on it even before the pilots are lit and they will start right up.
