From Pizza Hut To NFL, DeAngelo Williams Always Delivers

Prior to Super Bowl LI we spent an entire day with Pro Bowl running back DeAngelo Williams of the Steelers in Pittsburgh, PA. and kept it light.

Paul challenged him to a 40-yard dash (“No. Your first step is probably trash.”), asked about his unexpected role in the AFC Championship (“I stay ready so I don’t have to get ready. If you have an ego in this league, you won't last in this league.”), who would win a fight between his former head coach Ron Rivera and current coach Mike Tomlin (“Rivera. But don’t tell coach Tomlin I said that.”), what kind of pizza he will eat while watching the Super Bowl ("Definitely Meat Lover's.") and upon arrival in Pittsburgh, did he get his picture taken with the iconic Franco Harris statue at Pittsburgh International Airport, like we did?

A former Pizza Hut cook and delivery driver as a 16-year-old, Williams worked at Pizza Hut as a cashier, cook, and delivery driver, the second job Williams ever had in his life. “I grew up in the small town of Wynne, Arkansas, which had about 8,000 people. You knew the people who were good tippers and definitely got those people their pizzas first.”

During the Super Bowl, Pizza Hut produced over two million pizzas that were consumed by football fans as they watched the game.
