Day 3 Kubernetes Architecture Explained
When you hear “Kubernetes cluster”, it’s not just multiple machines working together.
There is a proper architecture behind it that controls everything.
🔹 What is Kubernetes Architecture?
Kubernetes architecture defines how a cluster is structured and managed.
A cluster mainly has 2 parts:
👉 Control Plane
👉 Worker Nodes
🔹 Control Plane (Brain of the Cluster)
Control plane is responsible for managing the entire cluster.
It handles:
• Scheduling pods
• Managing cluster state
• Making decisions
• Monitoring nodes
Key components:
API Server
Scheduler
Controller Manager
etc (stores cluster data)
Simple ga: Control plane = brain
Worker Nodes (Execution Layer)
Worker nodes are where actual applications run.
They handle:
• Running containers (pods)
• Executing workloads
• Communicating with control plane
Simple ga: Worker nodes = workers
