Satisfying video for expensive gift, Mr. Liu Boming, Mr. Cao Zhouhua & Pang Chunxue to Aasiya Ismail

A 17-years old girl: Aasiya Ismail, wrote a letter to Chinese Astronaut. She is student of 10th grade & asked questions about space life & how it differ than earth life. After receiving her letter, a great astronaut: Mr. Liu Boming replied to Aasiya Ismail on her each questions with his kind manner.

Thanks: Mr. Liu Boming

This was original the letter written by Aasiya Ismail to the Chinese Astronaut:
Dear Astronaut,
你好
As life teaches you everything, I have always been curious about life itself. Knowledge, curiosity, and observations have been my best friends since childhood. Science is a discipline that is a form of art for me. The more I color, the more I become curious about the big picture. I have been a student of science for almost 10 years now.
In today’s scientific world, the development of a country totally depends on the interests of the youth and their participation in science and technology.
The Space Mutagenesis for Crop Improvement project is a very great and mind-blowing research work that will not only provide enormous opportunities for further research on other planets but also make plant cultivation easier in harsh weather conditions that are caused by global warming. This research and the initiative of writing letters to astronauts and giving them suggestions will surely result in the gathering of creative and out-of-the-box ideas that might become great inventions to make the future a better and more convenient one for the world.
The merging between plant breeding and space feels exciting and might end up making impossible ideas become possible. In this regard, I read about the aims, goals, and procedures of space mutagenesis and crop cultivation. The questions I would like to state about the project are:
Firstly, can you make a clear distinction between crops grown in space and those grown on earth? What about them piques your interest the most? Seeds grown in space exhibit mutation as a result of cosmic radiation and microgravity. So can we produce a variety of basic crops that can survive in severe future Earth atmospheres like drought, floods, global warming? Or a temperature-independent crop that can be cultivated without worrying about the season? Does this seedling mutation affect the overall growth rate of the plant? If so, can we use that gene to introduce such varieties that can be cultivated twice as fast as they are now? This will not only increase yield per year, but will also provide farmers with more opportunities to grow multiple crops in a single year. Here I would like to know what happens when a leaf or a flower is thrown into space. Does it remain fresh forever? No evaporation is occurring and water molecules remain there for obvious reasons of microgravity. If they remain fresh forever in the space, there must be a way of producing everlasting flowers or fruit varieties.
As a little pearl of success keeps you moving forward, I would like to know those pearls of success in this research. Do we now have a totally new variety of crops that caused diversity? Are we able to produce a totally different fruit, flower, or vegetable? As plants are the major source of energy for human beings, do space plants show any differences in their chemistry that might have a good or bad effect on human health?
Pakistan is currently experiencing a huge economic and environmental crisis, which will result in hunger, poverty, and indigence. So can we produce a wheat crop whose grain will be as big as a watermelon? so that poor countries or areas where poverty and hunger are a huge problem can rely on such crops.
Secondly, I would like to ask questions related to life in space. The thought of being weightless and flying in the air feels like an impossible dream, but I envy the astronauts that spend 6 months in that impossible dream. This must be an exciting experience as long as you face difficulties in doing things that are a piece of cake on Earth. I want to know how astronauts are able to breathe in the space station, even if the oxygen environment is created but we breathe due to a simple change in air pressure. How is that pressure created? Does the environment exert force on the lungs like in water? Do you breathe consciously or unconsciously, as we sometimes forget about the fact that we are constantly breathing?
Does the space environment have any mental effect on astronauts as the carbon dioxide concentration is increasing constantly? Is there a way of maintaining the carbon dioxide concentration in the space station? Does combustion occur in the space station? What if an astronaut wants to do fish BBQ in space?
Due to the vacuum environment, if you place a pendulum in space, does it keep moving for a finite period of time? On Earth, we exert force on the land, and the land responds by pushing us back. That’s how we walk, but if you exert force, what will happen? Do you need more force to move in space than in water? Do you run in space?
