新电信mio TV佳乐台，首次制作本地中文资讯节目，并特地邀请家喻户晓的资深艺人陈¬建彬和到台湾发展的天生萌帅哥黄靖伦携手主持。这个全新系列一共8集的『你是福建人吗¬』将是本地破天荒第一个以华语和福建话呈现的资讯娱乐节目。这对"新鲜热辣"的活宝搭¬档，将为观众介绍本地福建人的传统文化、习俗、语言和美食等等跟福建人有关的一切。

在第一集节目里，两名主持人将带你到大伯公庙，去了解福建人过年为什么要拜大伯公？农¬历新年为什么要吃年糕？年糕和灶神有什么关系？而本地福建人是怎么庆祝新年的？过年又¬为什么要吃肉干？我们一般上知道华人舞狮中有分南狮和北狮，但是你可曾看过福建人的青¬狮？它跟南狮北狮有什么不同？想知道这一切，可到mio TV佳乐台随选频道（Ch 503）观看。

SingTel mio TV -- Jia Le Channel -- is proud to debut its first local Chinese infotainment programme; featuring renowned veteran host Marcus Chin, and the effortlessly charismatic singer/actor/host who made it big in Taiwan, Wong Jinglun. This brand-new eight-episode series aptly titled Are You Hokkien? marks yet another first in Singapore's television history -- to make use of Mandarin and the Hokkien dialect in a local production. This spanking, new dynamic host duo seeks to introduce viewers to various different aspects of traditional Hokkien culture, customs, language, food and everything else associated with Hokkien people.

In the series pilot, both hosts will take you on a trip to the Tua Pek Kong Temple to explore the age-old question: why must Hokkien people pray to Tua Pek Kong during New Year? What is nian gao and why is it a must-eat food during Lunar New Year? What does nian gao have to do with Chinese deities? How do the local Hokkien people in Singapore celebrate Chinese New Year? Why do we eat bak kwa during New Year? Most of us know about the Northern and Southern Lions when it comes to traditional Chinese lion dance, but have you ever seen the Green Lion of the Hokkien people?
