“Taste of Loire Valley” CLASS SEPTEMBER 2025 COMMENCES!

September….the very mention strikes fear into the hearts of teachers and students alike! But for a refreshing take on the dreaded “Back to School” experience, we headed down to Cyprus Avenue for the "Taste of Loire Valley" September Wine Skool class!
We enjoyed an evening of delicious food and wine from one of the most picturesque regions in France.
The Menu was stunning; Fouee bread with pistachio pork terrine, or Ewings smoked salmon. Chilled Conway Farm tomato bisque & St Tola ash goats cheese fritter, Confit sea trout with beurre blanc, marjoram & caper berry, Treacle beef carpaccio with short rib croquette & truffle, or Lemon Sole with BBQ prawns & café de paris butter, Crispy comber potatoes with Provence herb & Espelette pepper, and CA garden rhubarb tarte tatin & vanilla ice-cream.
To drink, we enjoyed Bubbles on arrival, Caves de la Tourangelle Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Le Grand Fief Muscadet Sevre et Maine, Domaine Paul Thomas Sancerre Pinot Noir, Olga Raffault "La Fraich" 2023 Cabernet Franc, and a Loire Blossom cocktail with white wine, elderflower liqueur, citrus, & rosemary.
Excellent food, delicious wine and great company. What a “corker” of a night!
And don’t miss out on the next two Wine Skool Classes;
Fri 3rd October-“Taste of Tuscany”, and Fri 7 November-“Game and Grapes”.
