Hong Kong's first locally born giant pandas have been introduced to the public

De De and Jia Jia mean Little Brother and Elder Sister. The names were announced during a ceremony at Ocean Park, a theme park which also houses their parents and two other giant pandas that arrived from China last year. The names were picked by residents in a contest that drew nearly 36-thousand entries. The pandas' birth in August made their mother, Ying Ying, the world's oldest first-time panda mom.
