Jim Staley, a pastor known around the world, over the weekend announced that he's been indicted on federal charges of wire fraud. He is facing 30 years in prison and A huge fine. He claims in his sermon this past week that his charges are a result of the 2008 market crash. I can't imagine what he's going through right now. Here's a guy I've known for over four year. I know for fact that he is stressed over this. On the other hand, I know he's holding his faith and he's trusting in Yehovah. I am no expert on securities fraud or wire fraud but I can look at the morality of Jim Staley and compare it to my life and my situation. His inditement should be an example to us on forgiveness. It should give us some hope in our own lives about how to handle sin.
