JAPANESE STYLE ONE STROKE & AQUARELLE FLOWERS ON A METALLIC NAIL

Hey Everyone,

Happy New Year. It's 2019 and here is a new design for you.
I heard about this technique being done in Japan and thought that it sounded really cool, so I decided to give it a whirl.

I love freehand painting and two of my favourite techniques are aquarelle and one stroke. Acrylic paint is so versatile you can create two distinct design by how much water you add.

First I am going to lay down a metallic gel polish background, actually, it's a hybrid polish so it'll cure without a lamp. just give it some heat (like a hairdryer) and it'll dry even faster. The metallic is going to contrast so well with the paint.

Make sure you lay down a glossy top coat for the metallic, or it won't be as metallicy (is that even a word?).
some many people make that mistake, so don't be one of them.

Topcoat your metallic and then buff it, it's much easier to paint on a buffed surface, if it's too shiny, the paint will slip and slide.
after you've done your artwork, just give it another top coat which will bring out the shine of the metallic again.
