Lal Bahadur Shastri was 2nd Prime Minister of India, known for his honesty and integrity. Father of Lal Bahadur Shastri was a teacher in Government School. When Shastri was of 2 years, his father died. He was against Caste Politics thats why he never kept title in his name. After completing graduation he was given title of Shastri. His family had nothing to do with the independence movement. But, inspired by his teacher he started taking interest in it. He heard one speech given by Mahatma Gandhi on Indian Independence movement, which changed his life. In 1921, few months before exam, he left his school to participate in freedom struggle. In 1930, he was made a secretary in Congress. In 1942 during quit India movement, Lal Bahadur Shastri was arrested. After death of Jawaharlal Nehru, he became Prime minister of India.
