“My Budgie Colony Disaster 💔 Dead Birds & Weak Chicks Found in Morning”

Woke up to a tragedy today. I arrived at my budgie colony early this morning to provide mix seeds and soft food, only to find several adult budgies and chicks dead on the floor
some baby budgie chicks weak, dehydrated, and sick.
One chick was even covered with flies inside a nest pot (matki). I immediately checked every nest box and started shifting chicks from dead parent budgies to foster pairs of the same age to save them. If fostering fails, I may have to hand feed the baby budgies myself.
I suspect extreme summer heat, dehydration, heat stroke, poor ventilation, or sudden temperature stress may be the reason behind these unexpected budgie deaths. Yesterday all birds were healthy, active, eating normally, and the entire colony was fully cleaned, which makes this situation even more shocking.
To save the remaining budgies during this dangerous heat wave, I am now trying multiple summer care solutions for budgies including:

✔ Fresh cold water multiple times daily
✔ Better colony ventilation and airflow
✔ Electrolytes and hydration support
✔ Soft food for weak budgies
✔ Reducing heat stress inside the aviary
✔ Checking every nest pot regularly
✔ Separating weak and sick birds
✔ Monitoring baby budgie chicks closely
✔ Using foster parent budgies for orphan chicks

Quick Note: If you see "feces-covered" chicks, please clean them gently with warm water and a cotton bud. If the vent is blocked (pasting), they cannot poop and will die quickly.
