Another Youtube Channel called SavvyNik has published a video that shows how to fix the "screen tear" as he calls it - those black lines that were flickering across the screen during the videos made from screen recordings made while using the Nvidia driver. The fix that SavvyNik suggests resulted in my glmark2 score dropping by about 40%, compared to running without the fix. Here we use the glmark2 graphics benchmark to see which performs better - the default X.Org Nouveau open source driver or the Nvidia 435 proprietary driver.

This test uses an Nvidia GT 1030 GPU with a Linux-based (Lubuntu 19.10) operating system.
