Putin–Zelensky Agree to 32-Hour Orthodox Easter Ceasefire Amid Violations; Dmitriev in US for Ukrain
Putin and Zelensky agreed to a 32-hour Orthodox Easter ceasefire beginning Saturday afternoon, but as with last year’s truce, it faced violations as Russian drone and air strikes killed and wounded civilians in Poltava, Sumy and Odesa. Ukrainians expressed scepticism the pause would hold. Russia’s Kirill Dmitriev was in the US to discuss a Ukraine peace deal and US‑Russia economic cooperation with the Trump administration.
