Teens Give Huge $2404 tip to waitresses!

Wanted to give everyone an update on the "God Loves You" Fund that a lot of you donated to this past year. The teens sold things, did service project and gave of their own money and with the help of some adults, we ended up with a grand total of $2404! Our tradition is to have a youth worship night the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and then go to a local restaurant for a meal. Then we bless our servers with the money we collected and give them a huge tip along with a gospel booklet called "Life in Six Words" from Dare2Share.

We prayed a lot about the servers we would have that night, asking God to bring exactly who He wanted to be there to receive the blessing. That night we not only gave the normal 15-20% tip which ended up going to the cooks and other people who helped, but then gave the $2404 in cash to the four wonderful ladies who so graciously served our tables. As we handed the money to them we told them that we are doing this because we want them to know how much God loves them.

Thank you to all of you who donated money and who prayed for this night to happen. My challenge to you and your parents this Christmas season is to take some of the money that you would normally spend on yourself or your family and give it away to someone who really needs it. Find creative ways to be a blessing to others.

Nights like this are one of the many reasons I love doing youth ministry and getting to work with some amazing teens and adults!
