2015 Mount Marathon Women's Race in Seward, Alaska

Every 4th of July, thousands gather in Seward, Alaska to celebrate the holiday and to watch a few hundred elite athletes compete in the Mount Marathon Race.

Known as the "Olympics of Alaska," the race is an exhausting trek up 3022 feet of Mount Marathon. Runners begin and end the race in downtown Seward, surrounded by thousands of cheering onlookers.
