GoPro: Shoot House (READ DESCRIPTION)

Video taken last week at the shoot house on Ft. Stewart. First time in one too.

When this video was taken, I was attached to D Co. 3-15th Infantry. The unit when I was serving at the time was a heavy weapons company, meaning we on humvees and we provided heavy weapons fire with either M240s, 50 cals, or Mk19s. Due to only focusing on fire support, we rarely focused on CQM, and the only time we would shoot M4s were to qualify on ranges.

So at the time we went to a shoot house, last I was in one was on 2013 on the tail end of my BCT/OSUT. So rules of engagement were set tight to provide safety to those participating in the exercise and those qualifying it. Even though we would do a mock up training almost every day back at company by setting tape on the ground and doing the exercises on a single room scenario.

I know this looked like some shit out of “COD” as some of you have so adequately put it, but these were the ROEs and SOPs we were dealt that day.
