In today's episode, Christian and Anna dive into what makes a dive watch a dive watch, and how to work one. So the guidelines for what makes a dive watch a dive watch are outlines by the International Organization For Standardization (ISO). The ISO lists a few key components, including that the watch must be able to function under intense depths of water (approximately 300 meters, featuring a screw-down crown and caseback), and it must be able to time your dive (by means of luminous markers, and a bezel demarcated with interval markers for every 5 minutes at least that should be unidirectionally rotating to time how long you've been under water).

To use the bezel, what you want to do is align the triangle to the minute hand, such that as the minute hand moves along the dial as time passes, the bezel will indicate how much time has passed based on which bezel marker your minute hand is now pointing to.
