My fireplace is a Heat Master with a thermocouple and thermopile. You will need some sandpaper or steel wool, a vacuum and compressed air (can or compressor) to attempt this method. Please note you should do this at your own risk. I am simply doing an overview. Hire a professional if you are not comfortable messing with your fireplace!!
