A Software Developer's Secret to Life | Julia Menchavez | TEDxUniversityofSanCarlos
Julia shares on her talk the ups and downs of being a software developer.
But this talk isn't just for them! The possibility of making the 'next big thing' is so much greater. If you're able to share cooking videos on Facebook or post selfies on Instagram, you probably already have some of the resources you need. The only things left are your will, creativity, and determination to survive series of meltdowns, frustrations, and unclear directions - which software developers are pretty much have mastered.
Julia writes code and leads project. She tries everything to find the best and most efficient way to get things done - both in the technical and non-technical aspect. What makes her heart sing is being able to create something she can see and actually use from something that used to just exist in her head. Aside from that, the extremely satisfying "aha!" moments along the way when she finally understand a difficult concept or get something to work also gets her excitement.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
