Camino de Santiago to Finisterre - the End of the World

#CaminoDeSantiago #caminodesantiago Walking to the "end of the ancient world" along the Camino de Santiago. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our ninth year walking takes us from the historic city of Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre and the mystical chapel on the sea at magical Muxia. The video tries to capture the stunning views of the trail and the wonderful places and people we meet along the Way. We hope you enjoy.

OUR VIDEO IS DEDICATED TO THE MANY PEOPLE IN SPAIN AND ELSEWHERE AFFECTED BY THE COVID19 PANDEMIC. YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS.

The journey to Muxia took 5 days and a little over 120km (130km with some accidental detours :-)

Day 1 - Santiago to Negreira (21km)
Day 2 - Negreira to Olveiroa (34km)
Day 3 - Olveiroa to Cee (20km)
Day 4 - Cee to Finisterre (15km) (excluding 4km to the lighthouse)
Day 5 - Finisterre to Muxia (30km) (excluding a 6km inadvertent detour :-)

The Route of Santiago has been a meeting place for its pilgrims ever since it emerged some eleven centuries ago. It has facilitated a constant cultural exchange between the pilgrims and the communities through which they pass. Long may it continue!
