CREATING LIST OF DATES IN EXCEL

In this video, you’ll learn how to create a list of dates in Excel using the Series feature. This method allows you to automatically generate daily date sequences like January 1 to January 31 without dragging cells.

This is a simple but powerful Excel skill for schedules, reports, attendance sheets, and timelines.

📌 Steps to Create a List of Dates in Excel:
1. Type the starting date (e.g. 1/1/2026) in a cell
2. Press Alt + H + F + I + S to open the Series dialog box

Note: If the shortcut does not work, go to:
Home tab → Fill → Series

3. Select Columns if you want the dates vertically, or Rows if you want them horizontally
4. Enter 1 under Step Value (for daily dates)
5. Under Stop Value, enter the ending date (e.g. 1/31/2026)
6. Click OK

Excel will automatically generate the full list of dates.

This method is faster, more accurate, and more professional than manually typing or dragging dates.
