Ever wondered what a mathematical function actually sounds like? In this video, we visualize and sonify the 10 most essential functions you learned (or forgot!) in school.

From the steady climb of a Linear Function to the haunting frequency of the Gaussian Curve, watch how math creates its own unique soundtrack using p5.js and an oscillator.

Functions Featured:
Linear (y = x)

Quadratic (y = x^2)

Cubic (y = x^3)

Absolute Value (y = |x|)

Square Root (y = sqrt(x))

Sine Wave (y = sin(x))

Exponential (y = e^x)

Natural Log (y = ln(x))

Inverse (y = 1/x)

Gaussian (y = e^-x^2)

How it works:
The y-coordinate of each point on the graph is mapped directly to a frequency (Hz). As the graph climbs higher, the pitch rises; as it dips, the tone drops.
