Strong tide current at Ocean Beach

High and strong tide at San Francisco Ocean Beach. This shows how rip currents are forming. Here the current is well visible at the surface, but the same phenomena can happen below the surface creating a very dangerous trap for the swimmers or even for people walking along the beach.
Each year several people die at Ocean Beach as they are taken off shore by strong rip currents.
