Smith Rock State Park - Misery Ridge Loop Trail - Central Oregon Hiking

In this episode of Junior Trekker we tackle the Misery Ridge Loop Trail! This is a very popular trail at Smith Rock State Park in Terrebonne, Oregon. The entire loop from the parking lot is 4 miles. This can be a difficult trail if you don't regularly hike, and definitely has some exposure, so if you have a problem with heights you might want to try one of the other amazing trails at the park. Also, over the years Smith Rock has gotten extremely popular, so it can get crowded. On nice weekends and holidays, you won't find any parking unless you're pretty early (or want to walk an extra mile to get to the park).

Smith Rock is one of the most beautiful places in Oregon, and such a special place to me. I've been coming here for more than 20 years, and have spent countless hours exploring, hiking and climbing in this incredible park. I'm so thankful that I get to spend time here with my family!
