Pebeo Mirror Leaf - How To Apply Shiny Accents (2019)

Hi Artsy Friends, Oooohhh, I adore a glimmery shine on my mixed media artworks, and the Mixtion Relief sticky glue and Mirror Leaf from Pebeo satisfy that need beautifully! In this highly requested video from my painting students, I show you how to get the effect of metal leaf without the fly-away mess. Enjoy, and I look forward to your comments and questions. 🎨😍

HINT 1: The Mixtion Relief gilding paste tube is sealed when purchased. To open, screw off the white & black top, turn it around and puncture the tube seal with the black cap, wipe the glue off the cap and screw it back on the tube. The white tip under the black cap already has a hole in it, so there is no need to clip the tip.

HINT 2: Mixtion Relief sticky glue goes on white and dries clear. After drying, it will remain tacky until it is covered.

HINT 3: You can wipe off the Mixtion glue with a damp cloth when it is still white. After the sticky glue is clear and dry, you can cover it with acrylic gel medium (dries clear) or acrylic paint if you put the glue in an area where you no longer want it to remain sticky.
