Fixing the Z axis on my CNC machine!
While getting started with working on my new CNC machine I discovered it had a big problem! Lots and lots of lost motion (backlash) in the Z axis. In this video I show how I went about diagnosing and fixing the problem!
I also talk about what a ballscrew is, what the basic axis of a CNC machine looks like, and lots of little tips and tricks that make working on a machine like this safer and easier!
