WALKING AND WILD CAMPING ON THE ICKNIELD WAY | PT 5: ROYSTON TO LINTON | OEX SALAMANDA HOOPED BIVVY

Welcome back to The Icknield Way! This is Part 5: Royston to Linton and at 18 miles, it is the longest section in the Icknield Way guidebook. My usual Icknield Way walking buddy Richard can't do any more sections with me for the time being due to family commitments (this was before the pandemic, which means he definitely can't now!), so it was left to me to do this one solo. It was also a good opportunity to use my latest shelter, the new OEX Bush Pro Salamanda Hooped Bivvy.

I am aware that at the time of publishing this video, Part 4: Ickleford to Royston is missing. This was the final section that I did with Richard and unfortunately it was lost forever on my broken hard drive that I recently raised money for. The Data Clinic company could not repair the HD or recover any of the data from it. I am thinking about redoing the section but I would need someone to join me in order to help with car shuttling between the start and destination, so it will have to wait until normality in the world is resumed. I have photos of the section on my Instagram page if you care to look. In the meantime I figured I'd crack on with the trail and try to get it finished ASAP. I have other projects I want to get done in 2021...

If you feel you would like to give back to the channel and donate to help me continue making these videos, please find me on Paypal under tomoutdoors88 using pttomhill@hotmail.com as a link. Thank you, it's much appreciated.
