The Army Built an Airplane Out of Rubber
Goodyear's Inflatoplane was an experimental inflatable aircraft the U.S. Army tested in the 1950s and 1960s. It packed into a box, inflated in minutes, and flew on a fabric airframe kept rigid by engine pressure.
