In 1988, huge football fan gather in Dasarat Football Stadium to support their homeland team Janakpur cigarette Factory against Bangladeshi Mokti joddha for Tribhuvan Challenge Sheild. After 1-0 score lead for bangladeshi team in 17th minute the match was disturbed by huge hailstrom which caused chaos in the stadium and panic in the fans and in 98 football fans were killed where more than hundred other were injured.
