My Symptoms Were DISMISSED Because I Was Pregnant!
As a nurse practitioner, Andrea knew something was wrong when almost every single one of her bowel movements was bloody. She was pregnant with her son, so doctors dismissed her symptoms as being related to her pregnancy. After giving birth, a colonoscopy found a mass in her sigmoid colon and Andrea was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer.
