Reconditioning Dash Bezel Pieces Mercedes Benz SLK320 SLK230 98-04 Fixing Painting Stripping MB R170

I bought a 2002 Mercedes Benz SLK320 cheap and wanted to fix the interior dash bezels & trim pieces. First you want to remove all the pieces and spray them down with the Citrus Paint Stripper

Next you want to let it sit for 15 minutes and then remove it with a putty tool.

After that, get acetone and wipe the service down to remove any other glues/or residue.

Next clean it off with soapy water and let it dry.

After that we are going to spray it with interior dash paint. You can get exact match or you can spray it with a similar black color. I used duplicolor interior dash spray paint and clear coat.

I sprayed 3 coats of paint, and two LIGHT coats of clear coat. I waited 10 minutes between coats.

After that let it dry and carefully install.

NOTE: If you need to fix any cracks, use JB Weld plastic epoxy. First superglue it together with quick setting super glue. Then use JB weld to reinforce the crack.
