How to Join Marine College for Merchant Navy|| SHIPS| IMU | TMI | PASSPORT| INDOS NUMBER #cruise

Today i will share with you the proper requirements to join marine colleges, institutions.Just follow the the video, take a screenshots wherever needed and share to your fellow people who are in need to clarify any doubt regarding requirements .To all my fellow mates, don’t fall into trap of agents who con you by showing beautiful dreams.
1. Choose the Right Course Based on Your Interest
2. Appear for IMU CET (if applying for Officer Courses)
For DNS and Marine Engineering, admission is generally through the IMU CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test).
• Conducted by: Indian Maritime University (IMU)
• Website: www.imu.edu.in
• When: Usually in May/June every year
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Aptitude

3. Apply to DG Shipping Approved Institutes
You must apply to DG Shipping-approved colleges for pre-sea training. Some of the top maritime institutes in India include:
• Indian Maritime University (IMU) campuses (Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi, Visakhapatnam)
• Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Pune
• Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy (AEMA), Karjat
• Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies, Lonavala
• Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS), Lonavala
Note: Many top private colleges conduct their own entrance tests and interviews in addition to IMU CET.

4. Appear for Medical Examination
You must pass a Merchant Navy medical exam by a DG Shipping-approved doctor. This checks:
• Height, weight, BMI
• Eyesight (6/6 vision for Deck, color blindness not allowed)
• General fitness

5. Get Your INDOS Number and Passport
Before joining any course:
• Apply for a passport if you don’t have one.
• The institute will help you get your INDOS number (Indian National Database of Seafarers).

Optional: Sponsorship Before Admission (Highly Recommended)
Apply for sponsorships from shipping companies before joining any college. This ensures:
• A guaranteed job after training.
• Financial support during the course in some cases.

• Synergy
• Fleet Management
