Aliso Woods with Mo and Hannah (5 Oaks, Rock It and Lynx) I put back on the DVO Jade X shock 4/16/23

This was my first ride since Calvins crash. I also crashed that day and I did hurt my ribs and left pec I was more mentally f*cked from Calvins crash. I had problems sleeping all week. I have always accepted the fact that crashing is part of riding. I think I access my risks pretty well. Although I constantly push myself to do features that scare me, I only do them when I feel confident I can pull it off. The thought of getting paralyzed or even dying has never crossed my mind but seeing Calvins crash on video has really made me realize how easily Calvin could've been paralyzed from that crash.
I am not feeling confident on the bike and I know its very dangerous to ride when youre hesitant so I wanted to ease back into riding. We decided to hit Aliso and stick to the legal trails. I was on limited time because I had to head to restaurant so I was only able to hit 5 Oaks, Rock It and Lynx. It was a fun ride and it definitely got me comfortable on the bike again. I also put my DVO Jade X and E Thirteen Helix cassette back on so the bike feels amazing.
