Single-tipped drum sticks limit both sound and dynamics. That’s why I spent many years developing my double-tipped SweetBeats drum sticks, with one larger tip on one side and one smaller tip on the other. This allows me to have more range in my sound. I can play both ballads (with the smaller tip) and heavy hitting rock or pop tunes (with the larger tip) and all I have to do is flip my sticks over. I've used this design (I call it the "duo") since the 90's and only recently created SweetBeats Sticks using the "duo design", which I've used on many tours and hit records.

In this video, you will see me use the smaller tip with my right hand for adding colors on the cymbals and to create crispy and precise hi-hat accents…while using the bigger tip with my left hand to really smack the snare, giving it that sweet POP!!
