Upgrading the Dollar Store Laser Pointer Life

The laser pointer from the dollar store runs off of tiny little button cells that last all of an hour, and it's cheaper to buy a new laser instead of batteries. Why not just make the laser pointer run off of something larger, like AAA batteries!? Sure, commercial products exist, but that's no fun. We'll just shove the laser module into a flashlight, also from the dollar store.
