Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Ustad Rashid Khan are imposing figures in the world of music from the Indian subcontinent . Both have been instrumental in bridging the gaps between mass & class & East & West. Their comforting music has an appeal that transcends boundaries. A notable achievement of the duo is the infusion of an emotional content into their melodic elaboration. The spontaneous emotional appeal of their singing has won them fans and followers the world over. Their voice produces a cascading energy that stirs and calms and finally engulfs the listeners into its fold.

The present concert will be an exquisite blend of the vocal prowess of these two legends who will come together for the very first time to present an ethereal fusion of Sufi music. The concert will feature popular Bollywood numbers by the maestros as well but these will be rendered in the Sufi style making it a sublime experience for the listeners.

While Ustad Rashid Khan is the soulful voice behind Bollywood songs in movies like “Jab We Met”, “CityLights”, “My Name Is Khan”, “ Kisna” and others, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has serenaded the world with popular songs in movies like “ Dabang 2”, “ Bodyguard”, “My Name Is Khan”, “Ishqiya”, “Om Shanti Om”, “I Hate Love Stories” to name a few.

Both have had years of training and relentless practice, and this background serves them well. They have mastered the art form of classical vocal improvisations and are our true link to divinity on earth! This is the first time ever the two maestros are coming together for a concert.
