PRESIDENT KAGAME & KABILA MEET AGAIN

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, was on Thursday 12th August 2016 received by his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame, for a one-day official visit. The two leaders met in Rubavu town near the border linking both countries. Rwanda and DRC pledged to speed up work to tap into the extraction of methane gas in Lake Kivu to generate energy, strengthen cross-border trade, and establish a strong mechanism for sharing intelligence.The two sides also committed to mutual efforts to revitalize bilateral relations including the enhancement of diplomatic relations between Rwanda and DR Congo.
