Columbia Protests Intensify, Ukraine Aid Package Vote, and Trump SCOTUS Hearing #shorts

Columbia University announced that classes would be held virtually Monday after police arrested over 100 pro-Palestinian protesters on the school’s campus. Officials cited safety of their students as the reason for their decision. One rabbi affiliated with Columbia is urging Jewish students to leave campus, saying the school can't guarantee their safety.

The Senate will vote on a $95 billion aid package to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan today as lawmakers are taking the final steps to send legislation to President Joe Biden’s desk. The $61 billion for Ukraine comes as the war-torn country desperately needs new firepower.

And on Thursday the Supreme Court will hold a special session to hear arguments over whether a former President is immune from prosecution for actions taken while in office. The case stems from former President Donald Trump's alleged attempts to overthrow the 2020 election.
