BMW 1200GS refitting the centre stand after spraying

This is one of the most difficult jobs to do on the bike, even though it looks the easiest. The centre stands suffer a lot of abuse, being under the bike, and soon look very second rate. Removal is easy and gives you the opportunity to sand, prime and respray and at the same time grease and oil the springs. Then all you have to do is reassemble....piece of cake, but then you will probably give up the will to live! But this method works, even I am very surprised.
