Slim Tests Jackery's Explorer 500 & SolarSaga 100 Power System
After hearing about my past issues with remote power, a company called Jackery sent me their products to try out and review. Here is my honest opinion of the Jackery Explorer 500 Power Station and the SolarSaga 100 Solar Panels.
Note on Amp Hours: Jackery confuses the issue by only mentioning a 24Ah@ 21.6V rating of the lithium battery. Using this on 12V instead of through the 110V inverter is far more efficient. My calculation was based on 518Wh divided by 12.6 (battery voltage) = 41.1Ah. This is a better approximation in comparing it to other 12V RV batteries.
CORRECTIONS: The SolarSaga Panels have USB-A and USB-C ports, not miniUSB. Also the 12V and 110V charge adapters go in the INPUT socket like the Solar panels. 12V Output is only for using the Jackery to charge other appliances. Sorry!
