How to change cell color in excel

To change the color of cells in Excel, start by selecting the cell or range of cells you want to modify. Next, navigate to the "Home" tab located on the Excel ribbon at the top of the screen. Within this tab, you'll find various formatting options, including those for changing cell colors.

Look for either the "Font Color" or "Fill Color" button, typically found in the "Font" or "Editing" group. These buttons often resemble a paint bucket icon. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the button to reveal a palette of colors.

From the palette, choose the color you wish to apply to the selected cells. You can select from predefined theme colors or opt for a custom color by clicking on "More Colors" and choosing from the color picker.
