The Philippines is no longer 'Sick Man of Asia' but Asia's Rising Tiger! 🇵🇭

In the 1960s, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Myanmar were considered as the "Tiger of Asia" Economies as all three countries were experiencing high growth. Internal issues however led to the economies of all three countries to falter.

After years spent languishing behind
its neighbors, the Philippines is finally catching up with its fellow Asian tiger economies as it posts some of the fastest growth rates in the world.

In 2013, the Philippines was tagged as 'Rising Tiger of Asia' by the World Bank.

The Philippines' impressive growth over the past five years has earned for it the title of "Asia's next tiger."
