'Deliverance Day' For Narrowboat Aslan

Gooday to you all and yes, the moment has finally arrived where Aslan will be lifted out of the water at Garstang Marina.

Over the course of 7 days (and this video), her hull will receive 3 coats of bituminous 'blacking', with various small but essential tasks performed by yours truly.

Then Aslan will be lifted onto a lorry and transported the 57 miles to Hesford Marine, on the Bridgewater Canal.

There she'll be hoisted from the lorry and into the water.

Of course this will rely on the many 'cogs' of the 'machine' coming together as one, for this endeavour to 'go off' without a hitch.

Then and only then, will Aslan and I return to the life we enjoyed almost 3 years previously - that of Continuous Cruising on the UK's main canal system.

Also during the video, I say a thanks to the many staff and boater's at Garstang Marina, as well as a few businesses in Garstang itself.
