point and shoot camera (small image sensor) Is it good enough?

Is point and shoot cameras with small sensor are good for videos?
I got my video inspiration from petergregg who mentioned in his video (Canon RP) youtuber using his point and shoot camera canon G7x mark ii which is a small sensor camera and he did great videos so I was searching more about the capabilities of such cameras and found a very interesting news on canon rumers 2019.
