3 Things You Should NEVER do in Italy ❌

Here are 3 things you should NEVER do in Italy.

1. Don’t ask for Parmigiano (Lit. Parmesan) to put on your fish or seafood pasta. Italians prefer to not mix these two ingredients because Parmigiano tends to ‘cover’ the delicate taste of the fish.

2. Don’t ask for a Cappuccino when you are having lunch or dinner. In Italy, drinking Cappuccino is only for breakfast or may be ‘acceptable’ as a “merenda” (snack).
Ask for an espresso if you want to be a true Italian, but only do this at the end of your meal.

3. Don’t put sauce like mayonnaise or ketchup on pasta, pizza, or other dishes. Italians usually use this dressing for french fries, or with hamburgers, and only in a few recipes: for example, many use mayonnaise in an “insalata di riso” (rice salad).
