I pulled over into a parking lot, called police, filed report when they showed up, then sent them
this video clip. I don't know what they did after that. No real damage to my car, just banged up the mirror.
6# 3:30 Caught On Dash Cam/This is my dash cam footage from being rear-ended / sideswiped by an unlicensed teenage
driver (age 15 years, 9 months) as I was attempting to make a left turn. She rear-ended my left driver's side
which caused her to cross the double yellow lines, hit the front driver's side of my truck, and then roll her
car into a ditch. Incredibly, everyone involved was fine. She had only a learner's permit and no licensed adult
was present in the car with her (as required by law). Even more amazing was that she also had a 2 year old
child in the car with her! Such blatant carelessness. My beloved truck (which I'd owned for 16 years) was
unfortunately totaled as a result of this accident. Ironically, my truck is 6 months older than the driver
that hit me...she wasn't yet born when I purchased the truck new in 2003. Sad day for my truck...but glad
everyone was ok.

injuries and all walked away. The police were very happy when I was able to play this back on my
laptop on scene. I later provided the full video to help identify the driver of the pickup truck
that ran the stop sign (none of the three occupants admitted to being the driver).
This was captured on a AUKEY DR02 dash cam, under $75.

car was in shock and bruised but I heard she was ok a few days later.
All airbags deployed. The driver of the other car had minor injuries.

intersection without looking. I dont know if he was just released from the hospital in this corner or
if he was under medication because he was totally not paying attention to the traffic lights at all.

When you try to run a red light, there are many grave hazards. You take the risk that someone will turn in front of you (thinking that you must be stopping). Or, when the light changes, someone will pull out from the side and into your path. Or, a pedestrian (perhaps a child) will step out into the crosswalk on the far side. You are probably speeding and are committed to running the light, so the accident will be a severe one. The resulting carnage will be your fault, and you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. Keep in mind here that, it is exceptionally difficult for the other driver, when looking at your vehicle head on, whether your are about to accelerate, stop, or even how fast you are going.
