MILO was born out of a necessity to create the music they wanted to hear. Four young lads with one leg in the 90’s and one leg in the present, channelling their musical songwriting through influences of their heroes; Radiohead, Oasis, Coldplay and Crowded House. After their first EP, MILO has now released their mature debut album. You can expect britpop, rock and beautiful ballads, all stemming from their love of great songwriting. They’re supported by pop temple Hedon Zwolle and they’ve played on national radio stations, Paradiso, Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel, Eurosonic / Noorderslag and they’re now in the 2020 line-up of Popronde.

MILO is Max Kerkhof on keys, Wouter Hidding on bass and Sjoerd de Vries on drums, all built around Milo Groenhuijzen. A lover of McCartney-esque songwriting, 90’s rock and pop that’s slightly out of the ordinary. The boys, all in their 20’s, met at the music-college of Zwolle. Here they clicked as a band immediately, as well as singing perfect vocal harmonies in no-time. You can expect radio-worthy songs that will spark your ears more than the typical four chord melodies.
