SIMILARITIES BETWEEN SPANISH AND FILIPINO | 75 WORDS WITH ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS

There are many similar words in Spanish and Filipino language. Why?
Because the Philippines was colonized by Spain for 333 years. That is why the Filipino language is greatly influenced by the Spanish language. However, when the ABAKADA was adopted in 1940, some changes were made in spelling and pronunciation.
