Birmingham, England, GREAT BRITAIN - 1995 World Figure Skating Championships, Men's Free Skate (Canadian Broadcast Feed) - Elvis Stojko of Canada skated an amazing program despite still suffering from soreness to the right ankle, which he injured at Canadian Nationals. After missing the quad toe-triple toe combination, he felt that he needed to maximize the number of triples he could land in the Free Skate in order to have any chance of beating Todd Eldredge of the United States. And he was right, it was enough to give him a 6-3 judges vote to win the Free Skate and thereby moving up from 2nd to win the Gold Medal.
