Exploring Bosnian Fast Food.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is known for its rich culinary heritage, and one of the must-try dishes when visiting the country is Burek. In this video, Tamara and I go off for a small shopping expedition to buy some of this delectable pie-like treat for lunch.

Burek, often considered the Bosnian equivalent of fast food, can be found almost everywhere in the country. It's a popular snack enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, and each region boasts that their Burek is the best. Our first stop was a local bakery, where Tamara bought Burek (which in Bosnia and Herzegovina is meat pie) unfortunately, they didn't have Krompiruša, a Burek variant made with potato filling.

The second stop on our way home found a tiny roadside bakery selling my beloved Krompiruša.
